Gwendolyne champions children’s inclusivity, Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) advocacy, and evidence-based medical research. She has held leadership roles in national platforms such as the Clinical Medicine Students Association of Kenya, Usawa Health Foundation, and Kenya Ni Mimi. Her work is driven by a commitment to build inclusive, informed, and empowered communities across Kenya. Gwendolyne served as a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Intern at GHA in Summer 2025.
Bwalya Mubanga
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Advisor
Bwalya Mubanga has extensive experience operating in various roles within USAID-funded projects, including Director of Monitoring and Evaluation/Government Liaison Officer for USAID/DATA Rising, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Advisor for USAID/AGIS, and Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for USAID/Access for All. He contributed to successful proposals for projects such as USAID/Databanks, Lifeline International-Suicide Prevention, and National HIV/AIDS/STI Council. Additionally, he participated in regional meetings and data collection activities as part of the national team representing Zambia at Southern African Development Community (SADC). He has a Postgraduate qualification from Stellenbosch University with a minor in Monitoring and Evaluation and Research.
Irene Nafula Wasike

Irene Nafula Wasike is a licensed Public Health Officer with experience in both Research and Monitoring & Evaluation. Her professional background spans engagements with various organizations where she supported field studies, community health initiatives, and evidence-based program development. Irene’s public health background encompasses a wide array of initiatives, including community health diagnosis, implementing school health programs, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) activities, environmental health initiatives, and performing public health inspections. She has effectively supported research projects by conducting literature reviews, executing data collection, performing transcription and delivering detailed reports. Irene is passionate about advocating for the needs of marginalized and underserved populations, championing community-informed and community-centered health interventions and believes in the power of evidence-based decision-making and policy advocacy to promote equity in global health. Her work is underpinned by a commitment to public health excellence. Irene previously served as a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Intern at Global Health Action.

Halid Abu-Hiban is a community health and development professional with a strong foundation in nutrition, research, and data analysis. His work centers on improving maternal and child health outcomes through evidence-based strategies and integrated health system approaches. He holds a Masters degree in Community Health and Development and has experience supporting academic and community-based research, project implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. He is particularly interested in leveraging data to design, strengthen, and evaluate effective health and nutrition programs across Africa.
Austin Adugbe

Augustine Adugbe, MPH, PMP, MBA (Expected 2027), is a project management and Project Management Office (PMO) expert with over seven years of experience driving strategic execution across professional services, public health, and nonprofit sectors. He currently serves as West Africa PMO Resourcing Lead at Deloitte, where he supports regional leadership through workforce planning, operational strategy, and performance reporting across multi-market portfolios. Augustine specializes in translating strategy into measurable outcomes; strengthening governance, optimizing resources, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Emily Edgar
Leadership and Organizational Development Intern
Emily Edgar is currently pursuing a MPH in Epidemiology, with a strong focus on the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health. She earned a BS in Biology with a Minor in Geography, developing a strong foundation in scientific research and environmental systems. Her research interests center on One Health, zoonotic infectious diseases, and disaster epidemiology, with particular emphasis on how environmental factors and human–animal interactions shape public health outcomes. She is committed to advancing interdisciplinary strategies to prevent and control emerging infectious diseases and to strengthen preparedness for health crises.
Osadebamwen Eghaghe
Health Policy Research and Advocacy Intern
Osadebamwen Nibokun Eghaghe is a public health professional and researcher specializing in infectious diseases, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and trial design in public and behavioral health interventions. She holds dual Masters degrees in Epidemiology and Public Health from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and has led and coordinated projects focused on HIV prevention, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, and integrated SRHR programming. Her work spans implementation research, monitoring and evaluation, and clinical trial design, with publications in peer-reviewed global health journals and presentations at leading international conferences.

Pham Van Hien is a Public Health Data Specialist with over 10 years of experience managing global and national health databases. Currently serving as a Data Management and Analytics Consultant for the WHO Western Pacific Region, Hien specializes in Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) and nutrition indicators using advanced statistical tools. He holds a Master degree in Epidemiology and Health Statistics from Guangxi Medical University. Hien joined GHA to exchange knowledge with international colleagues and deepen his understanding of community-based work and engagement strategies.
Ashley L. Kerre

Ashley L. Kerre is a community-driven public health professional with over eight years of experience designing, implementing, and managing community health and nutrition programs across Kenya and the wider East African region. Her work spans sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH), malaria, TB, HIV/AIDS, WASH, and emergency health response. Ashley currently serves as a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Intern at Global Health Action, where she supports data-driven decision-making through monitoring frameworks, data analysis, visualization, and learning documentation. Ashley holds a Master of Arts in Gender and Development Studies from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Kenya Methodist University. She is passionate about advancing gender- responsive, people-centered healthcare solutions that amplify community voices and drive sustainable impact.
Hamisi Msagama
Health Policy Research and Advocacy Intern
Hamisi Msagama is a pharmacist and global health leader specializing in the One Health approach to address antimicrobial resistance (AMR), zoonotic diseases, and neglected tropical diseases. He works at One Health Society Tanzania, leading policy advocacy, capacity development, and community-driven initiatives to strengthen resilient health systems. He chairs the secretariat of the Tanzania Parliamentarian Alliance for AMR, supporting members of Parliament in advancing legislative action and resource mobilization. Hamisi has contributed to the review and implementation of Tanzania’s National One Health Strategic Plan, National Action Plan on AMR, and National Master Plan for NTDs.

Rose Muhoro

Rose Muhoro holds a BA in Communication and Media from Maseno University and a MA in International Studies from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. She devoted the past ten years to public service, acquiring experience in governance and public communication at the Kenya Revenue Authority and the Office of the Auditor-General. Her expertise is in converting technical policy documents into clear and comprehensible communication materials. Through these initiatives she grew tax literacy levels among ordinary citizens and university students in Kenya. Rose’s academic interests align with current global policy dilemmas: the intersection of digital health and Artificial Intelligence (AI), maternal health and menstrual equity, and the engagement of communities in complex health policies and messaging. Rose is pursuing a MPA to develop the strategic skills required for effective policy formulation and implementation.

Shreya Singh is a final-year Master of Public Health (MPH) scholar at Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar, with a foundation in Prosthetics and Orthotics from All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Mumbai. She has worked across neonatal care, early intervention, immunization, and health systems strengthening with leading organizations including Public Health Foundation of India, All India Institute of Medical Sciences Jodhpur, and the West African Academy of Public Health. Known for her creativity, clarity, and commitment, Shreya is passionate about advancing RMNCH+A and envisions driving transformative public health programs and policies that uplift vulnerable communities globally.
